What We Offer

A free, online mentorship program for rural high school students. Expand your student's support system beyond their own community--eMentoring connects your student with mentors in post secondary from all over BC. This near-peer connection supports and inspires mentees to think about their futures, while discovering their potential and possibilities.

We offer two services:

  • Virtual mentor visits: We can arrange for our mentors to video-chat with your students. This can be one-on-one, in small groups, or with the whole class. Click here for more information.

  • One-on-one mentoring: Students work through an online curriculum with the help of a mentor. Click here for more information.

    • All interactions are via messages sent through our online platform.

    • Our curriculum is designed to get students thinking about life after high school.

About the program:

  • Mentors are students in post-secondary institutions across BC.

    • Many are from rural communities in BC, and participate because they wish they had a program like this when they were in high school.

    • We screen our mentors: they must complete a Criminal Record Check, an extensive questionnaire, and submit a resume. They are trained in privacy ethics, handling difficult situations, and how to build trust with teens.

  • Want to advertise this opportunity to your students?
